Canada is well known for the Niagara Falls, hockey and its friendly people, but we are here to tell you about its women. 10 Rachelle Lefevre
She was born in Montreal, Quebec in Feburary1, 1979. She completed her high school at Dawson College and later went on to study theater at Walnut Hill School and has a degree in education and literature. She landed her first gig in TV series Big Wolf on Campus in 1999 after a regular customer at the sushi bar she used work, who happened to be a Canadian TV producer got her into the auditions. In 2002, she appeared in George Clooney’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She played Victoria Sutherland in the movie Twilight, after she wrote a letter to expressing her desire to work with filmmaker. Lefevre has appeared multiple other films such as The White House Down and The Legend of Sarila.
9 Tessa Virtue
Is an ice dancer in competition with Scott Moir. She was born in Ontario, Canada but later on moved to Michigan, USA for her 2014 Olympics training and after which she moved back. She is currently completing her degree in psychology. Virtue along with Moir started skating in 1997; at novice level the pair won the bronze medal at the 2002 Canadian Championships. The pair won the gold medal in the Four Continents Championships in 2008 and a second one in 2011 increasing their fame.
In the 2010 Winter Olympics, they placed second and placed first in the world championships in the same year under compulsory dance. Virtue/Moir won the national for the 4th time in January 2012. They announced their return to the Olympic games on February 20,2016 on CBC’s Road to the Olympic Games.

Infamously known for her role as Danielle in the film The Girl Next Door, the Canadian actress/model was born on November 30, 1982 in Alberta, Canada. She started her modelling career at age of nine, when she featured in children’s clothing and also pursued foot modelling. She made her first TV appearance as an extra in a children’s horror themed series Are You Afraid of the Dark? She was invited to the White House by Hillary Clinton after being impressed by Elisha’s reporting skills.

7 Erica Durance
The multi-talented is an actor, director and producer. She’s best known for her role as Lois Lane in Smallville and Dr. Alex Reid in Saving Hope. She was born and raised on a turkey farm with her elder brother and sister. Durance moved to Vancouver to start her acting profession in 1999.
She was featured in the movie The Untold in the year 2002. She gained popularity in the year 2004 after being cast as Lois Lane in Smallville. This Canadian actress is best known for her role as Kate Austin in the American television show Lost. Born in 1979 she worked as a waitress and flight attendant to pay for her college tuition fees. She grew up as a Christian and took many mission trips. Her career as an actress kicked off when she got a role in TV shows Smallville and Kingdom hospital. Her major breakthrough was in the series lost, where she auditioned against 75 other women and landed the part.
She was eventually nominated for and won screen actress guild award and Golden Globe. She has also acted in movies like The Hobbit series, Ant-man and The Hurt Locker.
